In 1 Corinthians 4:9, The Apostle Paul said, "For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like men condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to men."

In the original Greek of the New Testament, the word "spectacle" is "Theatron," and Paul was using it in a metaphorical sense in the Corinthian passage. This word is only used three times in the entire New Testament, and in the other two places it is translated "theatre."

Theatron Media Group was founded in 1993 as a small company on a South Pacific island, and today is a California corporation. We are based in the Inland Empire of Southern California.

At first the company provided only editorial services to fledging writers, but became a book publisher, a producer of films distributed on DVD, and spoken word CDs. In addition, the company publishes JesusJournal.com, an online ezine that deals with matters of faith and culture.
